Registration and Fees
Early registration (application sent before March 15, 2010)
- PhD/MsC Students: €650
- Academic /industrial staff: €1100
Late registration penalty (application sent after March 15, 2010)
- PhD/MsC Students: €100
- Academic /industrial staff: €110
The fee includes: lectures and lecture notes; lunches; coffee breaks; excursion; social dinner
The fee does not include: dinners, accommodation
How to Apply
Registration must be done by filling an application form (see below).
Closing date for early registration is March 15, 2010
Applicants will be selected and admitted to the School on the basis of a short curriculum vitae which clearly states your background to be sent along with the application form.
USSP can accept a maximum of 50 students
Successful applicants will be notified by e-mail about admission by April 30, 2010.
After this date applications will be considered only in case the number of accepted students is <70.
Confirmation of acceptance
After receiving the acceptance letter, admitted participants will have to confirm their participation by payment of the registration fee by May 15, 2010.
After payment of the registration fee participants will be provided with lecture-related material and pre-course readings.
In case of withdrawal after June 5, only 50% of the registration fee is refunded.
Pre-requisites for application
Aesearch interests in paleoceanography and paleoclimatology with a background in at least one of the following subjects:
- Micropaleontology
- Physical Oceanography
- Paleoceanography
- Geochemistry
- Climate Modelling
